I created this powerful recording in 2020. Firstly, I wanted to create a recording for myself, because I was in a specific time on my life known as "SadeSati" (When Saturn is transiting over my moon in my natal chart. This is when Saturn was in the sign of Capricorn.) This period of time (7 years total) is known to be a very mentally challenging time in a person's life, signified by loss/death. It's beneficial during this time to really adhere to one's spiritual disciplines. Saturn moved out of Capricorn mid January of 2023- and I DEFINITELY noticed a very significant shift in my life- mainly being my 7 year marriage ending! And so I wanted to create this song for myself and also for others benefit.
It is intentionally "Slow" and rather "somber" sounding because Saturn is the slowest moving planet in our Solar System and his energy is austere and serious. I created a little slide show to accompany this song with some images I found on the internet as well as many of my own photos from my journey in India.
I offer this song with humble respect to this great deity that teaches us the lessons of living in integrity, in truth and being a humble servant of the divine. I highly recommend the book "The Greatness of Saturn- a therapeutic myth" by Robert E. Svoboda, to understand the awesome mythology of Shani as well all the other grahas.

Nilaanjana Samabhasam: The one who is resplendent (glowing) like a blue mountain [Nilanjana - Blue mountain, Sama - equal to that of, bhasma – glowing].

Ravi Putram: The son of Sun god (Ravi is one of the names of Sun god)

Yamagrajam: The elder brother (agraja) of Yama or the god of death

Chaya Martanda Sambhutam: One who is born (Sambhutam) to Chaya (shadow) and Martanda (One another name of Sun god)

Tam Namami Shanescharam (I bow down to the slow moving one)
