Inspired by the 33 names of Durga as recited at the Shanti Mission and in Peedam, Vishaka and I created this song to invoke the Mother Goddess is her Multifaceted forms. Durga is the Great Mother Goddess, in the Hindu pantheon~Para Adi Shakti, the first form of the Divine feminine Shakti. Also called Mahadevi....in her more "milder" forms she is Lakshmi, Goddess of Prosperity, Health, Abundance, Fertility. She is also Saraswati, Goddess of the Arts, Music, Writing and Higher Knowledge. In her more wrathful forms she is Kali and Chandi. Durga is also lovingly called Narayani, She who provides the Basis for all Life. Durga means "difficult to approach" or "the invincible" or "the inaccessable." She is the ultimate warrior goddess, one to invoke with full devotion when all-changing breakthroughs are needed in the psyche, to "slay the demons" or if you prefer to say: bring the shadows to Light!.....always with the LOVE of the Mother.

33. Durga Shakti Amma (Sri Shakti Amma Narayani is believed to be a living Avatar that
embodies the Goddess Narayani (Durga, Saraswati and Lakshmi all in one! I had the
opportunity to recieve darsham and talk with this most unique and blessed person while in
Southern India)
